Taylor Swift's Eras Tour has resumed after a scary ordeal.
A week after the Grammy winner was forced to cancel three concerts in Vienna, Austria, due to a confirmed terror plot, she returned to the stage at London's Wembley Stadium Aug. 15.
In the days leading up to Swift's shows, British authorities addressed plans to ensure the safety of concertgoers.
“We're looking forward to welcoming Taylor Swift back," London Mayor Sadiq Khan told Sky News August 8. "We've got a huge amount of experience in policing these events, but we’re never complacent. Many lessons were learnt after the awful Manchester Arena attack."
"The police work really closely, not just with City Hall and with councils, but also with those who host concerts like the Taylor Swift concert coming up over the next couple of weeks," Khan continued. "We're going to carry on working closely with police, ensuring that the Taylor Swift concerts can take place in London safely.”
Meanwhile, a spokesperson for London's Metropolitan Police said there's "nothing to indicate" that the incident being investigated in Austria will have an impact on upcoming events in England's capital.
Swift was previously set to hit the stage in Vienna on August 8, 9 and 10. However, the shows were canceled as details of a terror plot were made public.
"Due to confirmation by government officials of a planned terrorist attack at the Ernst Happel Stadium," event organizer Barracuda Music wrote on their Instagram page Aug. 7, "we have no choice but to cancel the three planned shows for everyone's safety."
Swift's website also confirmed that tickets for the three shows "will be automatically refunded within the next 10 business days."
That same day, authorities in Vienna confirmed the arrest of two men in connection to planned attacks on major events in the city, including Swift's Eras Tour concerts.
“A tragedy was prevented,” Austria’s Minister of the Interior Gerhard Karner explained during an August 8 press conference, via NBC News. “The situation was serious, the situation is serious.”
A third suspect was later arrested in the case as the investigation continued.
"Authorities are taking decisive action against anyone who might be involved in terrorist activities," Karner said August 9, "or exhibits radical tendencies."
